Once you’ve set up your AI Grid Agent with all the right columns, tools, and prompts – it’s time to let your AI do the heavy lifting. Running an AI Grid Agent is simple, flexible, and built to give you full control over each step of the workflow.
Getting Started: Ready to Run
Before running your Grid Agent, make sure you’ve:
-
Created all necessary Input Columns and AI Columns.
-
Configured each tool, prompt, and output format.
-
(If needed) Uploaded documents for tools like Files Search or Files Analysis.
Once everything’s set up, you’re ready to hit run!
How to Run Your AI Grid Agent
Running an agent is straightforward:
-
Select the Rows you want to process.
-
Click the “Run” button that appears at the bottom of your grid.
Lampi’s AI will then begin working through each row, following your column setup and completing the steps you’ve defined – whether it’s:
-
Analyzing uploaded documents,
-
Performing web searches,
-
Summarizing previous results,
-
Or completing multi-step logic across your workflow.
Each cell will be automatically populated based on the selected tools, input data, and prompts you’ve configured.
Running Individual Cells
Need more control?
You can also run specific cells manually:
-
Just click the small “Run” button directly inside a cell.
-
This is helpful when testing a new column setup or re-running just one part of a row.
Monitoring Progress
As your AI Grid Agent runs, you’ll see the real-time status of each task:
-
Queued: Waiting its turn to start.
-
Running: In progress.
-
Complete: Done! The cell will display the AI’s output.
You can follow the progress column by column or row by row.
Stopping and Relaunching Your Agent
You can pause the execution at any time:
-
Click “Stop” in the top-right corner of the grid.
-
Any in-progress or queued steps will be halted.
Need to re-run or resume?
-
You can re-select rows or specific cells and click “Re-Run”.
-
Previously completed cells will not be overwritten unless you choose to re-run them.
This allows you to:
-
Troubleshoot prompts or tools mid-execution,
-
Make small changes and pick up where you left off.
Important: Edits Are Locked While Running
To keep things smooth and consistent:
🚫 While your AI agent is running, you cannot edit the structure of your grid.
This includes:
-
Adding/removing columns,
-
Changing prompts,
-
Editing tools or output formats.
If you need to make changes:
-
Stop the agent.
-
Make your edits.
-
Re-run your agent as needed.
