The process of inviting it is designed to be both easy and secure.
You simply need to invite to your meetings the specific email address that was assigned to you when setting up your Lampi account (as any other participant). This unique email address acts as Lampi's invitation to join your meetings.
For added security and to ensure proper authorization, it's important to use the same email address that you registered with your Lampi account. Only you can invite Lampi to your meetings.
This measure prevents unauthorized access and guarantees that only you can invite Lampi to join your meetings.
This process ensures that Lampi's participation in your meetings is exclusive to your team, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of your discussions.
Lampi will appear on the participant list and take notes on your behalf.
For Lampi to connect, you must be the meeting organizer.
If you are not, follow the steps indicated in How to invite Lampi when I'm not the organizer of a meeting?
Lampi will connect to the meeting at the exact time you scheduled the invitation.
For last-minute meeting or live-meeting, note that, for security reasons and background tasks, Lampi takes an average of 5 minutes to connect.
Lampi is available for Microsoft Teams and Google Meet (more applications to come).
You can also use Lampi transcription capabilities for your offline meetings.
Google meet
You can invite Lampi to Google Meet meetings manually by adding Lampi as a participant from your calendar (Google/Outlook).
Ensure, the Google Meet link is included.
Microsoft Teams
To successfully invite Lampi to your Microsoft Teams meetings, you need to enable two specific settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center.
Guest access is essential to allow Lampi to join your Microsoft Teams meetings as a guest. By default, this feature is turned OFF in Microsoft Teams. You will need admin privileges to enable it. Here’s how to do it:
Access the Microsoft Teams Admin Center: Log in with your admin credentials.
Navigate to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Click "Show all" to expand all admin centers.
Select Teams: This will take you to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
Enable Guest Access: Click on "Users" and select "Guest Access." Turn the guest access setting ON to allow guest users in your organization.
For more detailed steps, refer to Microsoft's documentation on configuring guest access in Teams.
Microsoft Teams has a Lobby feature where guests must wait before joining the meeting. To ensure Lampi can join meetings promptly, you need to adjust the Lobby settings:
Access meeting policies: In the Microsoft Teams admin center, scroll down to "Meetings" and click on "Meeting policies."
Select the relevant policy: Choose the policy you want to update.
Adjust lobby settings: Set "People in my organization and guests" or "Everyone" to bypass the lobby.
Save changes: Click "Save" to apply these settings to all meetings.
Configuring this setting ensures Lampi can join meetings without waiting in the lobby.
Once you have configured the above settings, you can simply invite Lampi to your Microsoft Teams meetings.
When it's time for the meeting, Lampi will connect or request permission to join. It will participate in the meeting and provide you with the meeting notes and summaries.
Offline meetings
You can also record and transcript your offline meeting by simply clicking on "Record live audio" in your meeting space.
